Norfolk riders get back in the saddle
A group of Take Back the Reins participants from Woodland Park Equestrian Centre in Norfolk took a visit from BBC radio last week. Reporter Clare Worden went along to find out more about the course; how it felt to be back in the saddle and what an inspiration the Olympic equestrian events have been.
Equestrian Centre manager Lindsay said "The courses are aimed at all levels and abilities; we hope more people will be encouraged to get back to fitness and into sport. I'm so proud of our equestrian teams and I hope their success will encourage others to get back in the saddle, aim high and enjoy it."
"I'm loving it actually; getting back to it was easier than I thought; not remotely intimidating as the classes are small and it makes you confident." said one participant. "We watched the dressage and now I know how difficult it is I have a whole new respect for them. Just staying on is a challenge for us; hats off to Team GB for doing so well!"
