What is horseball?
Horseball involves players passing and throwing a ball on horseback, with the aim of putting the ball through a net and scoring points.
It is a sport that can be most likened to rugby or basketball, with the exception that competitors are on moving horses.
Horseball is a team sport, where two teams contest against each other, each team boasting four players. Before a goal can be scored three passes must have occured between team members, once the ball is thrown into the net the goal is awarded. The game sees riders pluck the ball from the ground, pass between players or steal the ball from the opposing team....... all completed at high speed!
The British Horseball Association is the governing body of the sport in the UK.
